IPN has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Sopral, a significant player in the branded petfood industry in Europe. Based in Pléchâtel, Brittany, France, Sopral specialises in premium dry petfood and boasts a manufacturing facility of 13,400 square meters. The deal is pending standard regulatory approvals.

Sopral is known for its high-quality brands, including Pro-Nutrition Prestige, Pure Life, and Protect, and has established a strong presence in France as well as in over 50 countries worldwide. The company employs more than 130 people and is recognised for its advanced research and development capabilities.

Arthur van Benthem, CEO of IPN, stated: “Sopral is an excellent and growing business, with a great team, leading brands and outstanding capabilities as a manufacturer of superior-quality petfood. This highly complementary strategic combination marks a significant milestone for IPN and provides us with a state-of-the-art manufacturing, logistics and sales platform to grow and realise our ambitious growth plans in the European market. We look forward to working with the Sopral team to build on their significant successes to date.”
