Dinnissen has launched a new branch in Melle, near Ghent, enhancing its international presence and getting closer to its customers in Belgium and Northern France. The operations at this new location will be overseen by Stefaan Cottenie, who has been appointed as Operations Director for Belgium.
This move addresses the growing global demand for food production, as quality requirements are rising. Dinnissen aims to support producers in food, feed, aquafeed, and petfood by ensuring continuity in the supply chain. Many potential clients in Belgium are unaware of Dinnissen’s proximity, and this expansion is a strategic response to the increasing demand for advanced process solutions in both the food and chemical sectors.
The Belgian branch will concentrate primarily on food and chemicals, industries known for their stringent quality and safety standards, while also serving the feed and pet food markets. Dinnissen’s unique advantage lies in its comprehensive in-house capabilities, covering everything from sheet metal processing to complete system construction, the company notes.
Alongside the new branch, Dinnissen will soon open a D-Innocenter in Sevenum, allowing for testing of machines and complete systems. “We work closely with the test lab. This way, we provide our customers with solutions that are demonstrably reliable,” notes Cottenie. The facility will enable the setup and testing of full installations with products, facilitating quicker on-site commissioning.
Dinnissen’s Belgian branch will also leverage expertise from its other global locations, providing consistent support across all disciplines. “Dinnissen supplies machines and systems that, if needed, are tailor-made. To do that well, you often have to be on-site with the customer to think along with them,” says Cottenie. He emphasises the importance of collaboration and building long-term partnerships.
Managing Director Wouter Kuijpers highlighted the company’s commitment to being closer to customer needs. “Internationalisation is not a goal in itself for us, but a way to be closer to our customers’ needs.”
Kuijpers expressed pride in the company’s growth: “We will continue to improve and innovate with determination, so we can deliver value to our customers worldwide.” The Belgian expansion follows recent openings in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
