February 3, 2025 – Hill’s Pet Nutrition presented its latest research on microbiome science and new pet nutrition products at the 2025 Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX). The company showcased updates to its Prescription Diet and Science Diet lines, emphasising the role of gut health in overall pet wellness.

Advancing gut health through nutrition
Hill’s said its research has led to the development of ActivBiome+ technology, a proprietary blend of prebiotics designed to support digestion, kidney health and overall wellness. The company has upgraded several of its Prescription Diet products to include this technology, including:
- Prescription Diet z/d for dogs and cats, reformulated to help reduce food-related skin and digestive issues.
- Prescription Diet i/d for cats, designed to support digestive health.
- New Prescription Diet i/d for puppies and kittens, formulated for young pets with digestive sensitivities.
