
JGB Brothers, a subsidiary of InterFiber, has successfully established operations in Bamberg County, South Carolina, following a US$7 million investment. The new facility, located at 66 Innovation Drive in Bamberg, will be used to produce plant-sourced food fibres for use as additives in human food and petfood.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has awarded a US$200,000 Set-Aside grant to Bamberg County to support the costs of the manufacturing site. The site is expected to create 40 new jobs and is expected to cost US$36 million to build.
