Adam DeJulius has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of Miller Foods, Inc., the fourth-generation family-owned business that owns the Oma’s Pride and Miller Farms brands, effective January 1, 2026. As the business continues to be owned by a fourth generation of family members, the leadership change represents an important turning point.
After a planned transition, DeJulius will take over and collaborate closely with his brother, Nick DeJulius, who is in charge of operations. Together, the brothers will steer the business into its next stage while continuing the tradition set by earlier generations.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the foundation that Capri and the generations before her have built, and I feel a real responsibility to steward Miller Foods into its fourth generation,” said DeJulius.
“Alongside my brother Nick, I’m excited to keep serving pet parents, our team, our partners, and our community while modernizing the business and building long-term strength. We’re committed to honoring where we’ve come from while leading boldly into what’s ahead.”
Capri Brighenti, who will retire as CEO after more than 25 years with the company, including 15 years in executive leadership, is succeeded by DeJulius. Miller Foods saw tremendous growth under her leadership, including the establishment of Miller Farms Cares, the family’s 501(c)(3) organisation devoted to philanthropic giving and community impact, as well as the expansion of its distribution capabilities and national retail and e-commerce presence.
Brighenti described her leadership role as a bridge between generations, noting the rarity of family-owned businesses successfully reaching a fourth generation. “Being part of that transition is something I am incredibly proud of,” she said.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Brighenti will continue to be actively associated in Miller Foods even if she will no longer be handling day-to-day executive duties. Additionally, she will continue to help the business during the crucial Thanksgiving season, provide procurement advice and broking services, and stay actively involved in Miller Farms Cares fundraising.
Under Adam DeJulius‘ leadership, Miller Foods demonstrates both continuity and forward momentum, reaffirming its dedication to family leadership and setting the business up for long-term expansion and modernisation.
