Premium pet food brand Nulo has donated 100,000 pet meals to Humane World for Animals as part of its More Than a Pet campaign, supporting families and pets across Los Angeles. Humane World’s Pets for Life program, which aims to increase access to vital services for pets and their owners, provided pet food and supplies during the organisation’s recent Unpacking Pawty community event, which featured the contribution.
The campaign encourages fair access to care, food, and other essential resources while honouring the unique link that exists between humans and their dogs. The event in Los Angeles demonstrated how Humane World, Nulo, and community partners work together to keep pets healthy and with their loved ones.
“At Humane World for Animals, we believe no pet should go hungry simply because their family is facing hard times,” said Amanda Arrington, vice president of Access to Care. “Thanks to Nulo’s generous donation, families received direct support, ensuring pets stay healthy, happy, and where they belong: at home with the people who love them.”
The contribution is a component of Nulo‘s Paws for a Cause campaign, which, from April to June, committed to donating one meal to Humane World for each bag of Nulo dry food bought at around 450 independent stores across the country. Olympic medallists Caeleb Dressel, Ryan Crouser, Gabby Thomas, and Regan Smith—all of whom have a strong interest in pets and their welfare—supported the campaign as Nulo athlete ambassadors.
“At Nulo, we believe every pet deserves nutritious food and loving care, regardless of circumstance,” said Michael Landa, Nulo founder & CEO. “Partnering with Humane World for Animals allows us to bring that mission to communities that need it most.” Athlete ambassador Gabby Thomas added, “It’s an honor to support Nulo and Humane World for Animals, ensuring pets like my dog Rico have access to the nutrition and care they deserve.”
The program demonstrates how cooperation amongst advocates, community organisations, and business partners can have a direct impact on pet wellbeing and improve the relationship between pets and their families.
