Life360 has expanded its pet technology offering with new in-app care and connection features and a QR-code pet tag, aiming to help families manage pet care and recover lost animals.
The new features include recurring Care logs that allow family members to record walks, feedings, litter cleaning and medication. Completed routines are visible to everyone in the family Circle, helping coordinate daily responsibilities.
The company has also introduced Zoomies Alerts and Weekly Roundups for dog Pet Profiles. The features can highlight bursts of activity and summarise routines, including distance walked and which family member provided the most care. Zoomies Alerts and the distance-roamed element of Weekly Roundups require a Life360 Pet GPS tracker.
The new stainless-steel Life360 Pet Tag costs US$7.99. Its QR code allows someone who finds a lost pet to contact the owner or share the pet’s location with the family Circle without needing the app. Owners can update their contact details through the pet’s Life360 profile.
It has also introduced a US$99 Silver Bundle that includes the Pet GPS tracker and a Silver subscription. Previously, the tracker was available only with Gold and Platinum subscriptions. The pet care features are available globally, while the Pet Tag and Pet GPS are sold in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
The launch follows the company’s recent introduction of its Pet GPS tracker, which offers features such as geofencing, escape alerts, and access to its global Pet Finder Network. The company said more than eight million pets are already registered on Life360.
