International petfood company Cosmopet has launched its dry food range in the UAE. The company, known for its focus on premium hypoallergenic pet nutrition, is introducing dry food formulations for dogs and cats enriched with insect protein. In Cosmopet’s dry food recipes, 10–20 percent of the protein is sourced from insect protein and complemented by high-quality animal proteins like duck.
This balanced formulation reflects modern principles of veterinary nutrition. A key differentiator is Cosmopet’s use of its own insect protein derived from Black Soldier Fly larvae (Hermetia illucens). The protein is produced under strict quality control to ensure consistency, safety and nutritional value.
The Cosmopet dry food portfolio for cats includes formulations for adult cats and sterilised cats as well as a specialised option for sterilised cats containing live probiotics. These recipes are designed to support vitality, maintain lean muscle, control weight, improve urinary health and gut health. Cat food is available in 0.8 kg, 1.8 kg and 3.8 kg pack sizes.
For dogs, the dry food range covers puppies and adult dogs across small, medium and large breeds. Their puppy formula is protein-rich with reduced grain. For small dogs, Cosmopet offers a formula with live probiotics to support digestion, gut health and immunity while being low in grain. For medium and large breeds, the range includes a hypoallergenic daily nutrition formula supporting joint health, mobility and strength. Dog food is available in 0.8 kg, 2 kg, 3.8 kg, 8.8 kg and 12 kg pack sizes.
