April 25, 2024 – F Duerr & Sons will launch its first variant of its household favourite brand Peamutt Butter this month – introducing on-the-go dog treat ‘Peamutt Balls’.
Designed to be a tasty snack or a training treat for dogs, the new affordable Peamutt Balls will be hitting ASDA stores at the end of April. The new line will also be available on Amazon from the same date, followed by a listing in Sainsbury’s later this spring.
The high protein dog snacks are made from peanut butter, as well as additional peanuts, chia seeds and apple puree. The balls are also grain, gluten-free and palm oil free.
Speaking about the influence of petfood trends on Peamutt Balls, Managing Director for F Duerr & Sons, Richard Duerr, said: “Current trends show people are looking for simple, tasty ingredients in their dog treats. But while they must scrutinise a recipe, shoppers are also challenged by affordability due to rising living costs. With these things in mind, it was important for us to strike the balance of great taste at a good price.
“We often have the feedback that our Peamutt Butter is used as a training reward, but the jar isn’t always the easiest thing to take out and about. Peamutt Balls are easy to put in your pocket and extends the usage to on-the-go. We hope the product will drive sales and open up the Peamutt brand to new shoppers.”
Peamutt Butter first launched to market eight years ago, today it is ranked the UK’s number 1 peanut butter for dogs, this new launch follows 63 percent year on year growth (2022-2023), the brand is now worth £2 million retail value.
