Hill’s Pet Nutrition has introduced ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit technology into its Hill’s Science Diet dry food portfolio for adult and senior dogs and cats. The new formulation is designed to support digestion, immune function, and organ health through a blend of prebiotic fibres and clinically tested antioxidants.
The product update comes after more than a decade of microbiome research at Hill’s. According to the company, ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit addresses top priorities identified in a 2022 study of pet owners, including digestive health, immune support, and organ function.
Dr. Chelsie Estey, US Chief Veterinary Officer at Hill’s, said the development aligns with the company’s focus on the role of the gut microbiome in overall pet health.
The formula supports vital organs with prebiotic fibres and antioxidant blends, contributes to a stable immune system, and promotes digestion and nutrient absorption, the company said.
Carrick Massey, US Senior Vice President of Marketing, noted that the launch is aimed at helping pet owners provide targeted, research-backed nutrition at each stage of life.
The upgraded products are now available through veterinary clinics, online retailers, and pet specialty stores.
