Leading technology provider JBT Corporation has announced the launch of their steam sterilisation technology SuperCRssTM. With the ability to process steel and aluminium cans of all shapes and sizes – including large products to retail-size containers – the technology incorporates products from a range of industries including human food and petfood.
SuperCRss includes the company’s processing management system Log-Tec, which allows manufacturers to optimally process during all phases – venting, ramping, cooking and cooling for example. By allowing full control of these processes, it guarantees uniformity of product quality. In addition, customers of JBT are provided with food safety, traceability, automation and repeatability.
Other options to combine with SuperCRss include a Basket Tracking System (BTS), which allows data produced by any bath or retort load to be tracked, analysed and audited. The BTS controls and verifies that all product is commercially sterilised prior to leaving the automatic batch retort systems, ensuring food safety.
“The creation of SuperCRss provides customers a modern solution to effectively utilise saturated steam retort technology,” explains Rick Wilson, global product line director at JBT. “We’re constantly searching for new technologies for customers across the globe, and JBT is pleased to do this once more through SuperCRss.”
