Marsapet launches first dog food with FeedKind pet protein

Marsapet has introduced its first dog food product, MicroBell, featuring FeedKind Pet protein, a cultured protein produced without using arable land or animal ingredients. The product is a vegan, grain-free, and gluten-free dry kibble designed for dogs with allergies or sensitive stomachs.

MicroBell is made with sweet potatoes, peas, potatoes, and FeedKind Pet protein. It is marketed as a high-nutrient alternative to traditional animal proteins, providing essential amino acids for dogs.

FeedKind Pet protein, developed by Calysta, is non-GMO and has received vegan accreditation from V-Label. It is produced through fermentation and requires minimal water in its production. FeedKind is approved for sale in several regions, including the EU, UK, and Canada, and is expected to receive US GRAS status later this year.

Marsapet’s CEO, Marcel Hoffmann, said the launch of MicroBell marks a significant milestone for the company in providing a sustainable alternative in petfood. The product is now available in European petfood stores and online.
