ökocat has announced the winners of its 2025 ökocause4paws program, an annual initiative that donates eco-friendly litter to small cat shelters and rescues throughout the U.S. and Canada. Every year, adopters from each chosen shelter receive a coupon for a free bag of Škocat litter, and the public is allowed to nominate their preferred local organisations.
Bronx Community Cats in New York City, Community Cat Club in Mount Ephraim, New Jersey, Camrose Animal Alliance Rescue Society in Alberta, SOS Prairie Rescue in Saskatchewan, Furry Friends of Barrie, Ontario, and Abby Cat Daddy in British Columbia are among the winners this year. The initiative guarantees that crucial assistance reaches organisations that frequently depend on scarce resources by concentrating on smaller rescues.
“Our goal has always been to make a meaningful difference for cats in need and the people dedicated to their care,” said Leslie Ellis, Consumer Communications & Promotions Manager for ökocat. She noted that since 2018, the initiative has donated more than 63,000 pounds of natural litter to support rescue efforts.
