Omni, a UK-based plant-based petfood company, has been awarded B Corp certification, recognising its commitment to ethical and transparent business operations, Vegconomist reported. Designed to cater to allergy-prone pets, Omni not only offers sustainable products but also prioritises employee welfare.

The company claims to implement people-first policies, including wellness allowances, comprehensive healthcare, enhanced training, and professional development initiatives. Employees can pursue recognised certifications and set personal environmental and social goals quarterly, all while enjoying flexible and remote work options. Omni boasts an employee satisfaction rate exceeding 90%.

In its pursuit of sustainability, Omni uses recycled packaging, tracks emissions, and conducts energy audits. The brand also donates products to charities and participates in initiatives such as tree planting and beach clean-ups.

Earlier this year, Omni gained significant attention when it appeared on BBC One’s Dragons’ Den, where it achieved a record valuation for petfood and secured a £75,000 investment from investors Steven Bartlett and Deborah Meaden for a 2.5% equity stake. Following the show, Omni reports it has more than doubled its size, attracting 20,000 new customers and experiencing a 130% increase in sales. According to Vegconomist, the company is now targeting a turnover of £10 million by 2025 and ranks highly in the pet wellness category on Amazon.
