September 11, 2024 – OTIS, makers of healthy, high-quality and sustainable dog treats, supplements and oils, has announced the launch go Wild Things Venison Lung Filets dog treats. Made in the USA, the treats feature ethically sourced, farm-raised venison from Canada, New Zealand and the US. Additionally, the treats are all-natural, grain-free, easily digestible and packed with protein, vitamins and minerals.

Venison Lung Filets are made of 100 percent air-dried venison lung and are free of hormones, antibiotics, artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. The bags used for Venison Lung Filets contain a minimum of 37 percent post-consumer recycled material.

The OTIS name was inspired by a real dog named Otis with an amazing ability to connect with, calm and support children healing from trauma. Otis became the company’s Chief Canine Officer and mascot, and the OTIS product line was launched in his honour, to support the work of hospital facility dog training programs by helping dogs live their best lives. Otis also lent his name to the company’s motto: Overcoming Trauma, Insuring Survivors.
OTIS donated one dollar of every product purchased to facility dog programs that help children heal from trauma. Within six months of its launch in April 2023, the company donated $10,000 to facility dog programs. At the one-year mark, OTIS had raised another $25,000, for a total of $35,000 OTIS chose Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Facility Dog Program in Denver at the recipient for the first-year donations. An additional $42,000 has been raised since April 2024, brining the company’s total donations to $77,000.
Research shows that animal-assisted therapy can help children heal from medical issues, reduce pain and anxiety and encourage communication. By providing ongoing financial support for hospital facility dog programs, OTIS hopes that more healthcare providers, families and patients will become aware of the benefits of these programs and the demand for them will increase.
