Percuro, an insect-based dog food company, will be participating in world-known dog show, Crufts. The international event will be returning to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, running from March 10-13, following on from last year’s postponement due to the pandemic.
The show is organised by The Kennel Club which, founded in 1873, has become the largest organisation in the UK dedicated to canine health, training, welfare and educational programmes.
Percuro company founder Denise Saber said of the news, “We are delighted to exhibit at the world’s greatest dog show and look forward to welcoming dog lovers to our stand to consider the advantages of feeding their four-legged friends on an eco-friendly pet food, specially formulated for the health and well-being of their dog’s body and mind.”
She added, “The primary protein source used in our hypoallergenic formulations plays a big role on saving our planet. From our local company headquarters, the Percuro team has developed a revolutionary, ethically farmed pet food brand using novel insect protein and plant-based ingredients, which is not only exceeding the expectations of carbon conscious pet parents, but dogs thrive on it too!”
Percuro will be exhibiting their range of next-generation insect-based food, including recently launched ‘Snappies’ dog treats at their petfood stand 3102. Snappies utilise protein from the black soldier fly to substitute for beef or chicken and is an ideal treat for dogs sensitive to traditional meat sources.
In addition to their Crufts participation, the petfood company will be showcasing latest appointed company brand ambassador and veterinary surgeon on This Morning, Dr Scott Miller. Dr Miller possesses over 23 years of clinical experience and was described as being “instrumental” in his role at Percuro. To read more about that, visit our page, HERE.
