Visitor registration has officially opened for Pet Fair Asia 2026, as organisers prepare for a record-breaking edition that is already close to full capacity months ahead of the event.
The event, which is set to take place in Shanghai from August 19 to 23, will occupy a record 320,000 square meters of display space, 92% of which has already been sold. It is anticipated that over 2,600 exhibitors will take part, confirming the event’s standing as a premier worldwide venue for the pet sector.
According to the organisers, international buyers and business professionals can register for free entry until July 31, after which a fee will apply. The action is anticipated to increase early participation, especially because the event continues to draw a sizable international audience. Over 130,000 trade visitors from over 90 countries attended last year’s event, with nearly 390,000 people attending during the consumer days.
A VIP B2B Day is a new feature for 2026 that aims to foster a more concentrated business atmosphere. To facilitate high-value encounters and streamline networking possibilities, the invitation-only opening day will bring together major buyers, importers, distributors, and industry experts. Attendees from other countries will have complete access on all trade days.

Leading international and local brands including Mars, Purina, Royal Canin, ADM, Elanco, and Boehringer Ingelheim are among those confirmed to exhibit, showcasing a wide range of products and developments from the pet industry. International brands will once again be showcased in a special Global Premier Hall, together with national pavilions from countries including Canada, Japan, the US, and Australia.
Tracy Diehl, Consul General at Canada’s Consulate in Shanghai, emphasised the importance of international participation by pointing out that the Canadian pavilion will highlight premium pet food, useful ingredients, and creative solutions meant to promote animal health and well-being while fortifying ties with Asian markets.
The show’s scope will be further expanded by a number of co-located events in addition to the main display. While PET FAIR ASIA VETERINARY will showcase the most recent advancements in pet care and animal health, PET FAIR SUPPLY will concentrate on the supply chain segment across more than 70,000 square meters. Specialised areas like “Cat’s Wonderland” and “Human–Pet Ideal Home” will also highlight new trends, such as integrated lifestyle solutions for pet owners and high-end cat items.
With its growing size, global reach, and emphasis on innovation, Pet Fair Asia 2026 is poised to solidify its standing as a premier hub for the pet industry worldwide, providing unparalleled chances for company expansion and cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific markets.
