Pets Global, Inc., the independently owned pet wellness company behind Zignature and Fussie Cat, has announced a major update to its dog food portfolio with the launch of Zignature Essence and Zignature Inception. The updated lines offer possibilities for merchants and pet parents while bringing some of the company’s most well-liked Essence and Inception formulas under the reliable Zignature brand.Twelve new recipes, three dry and three wet diets in each line, are included in the relaunch. All items are already accessible to independent distributors and retailers in the United States and Canada; broader consumer availability is anticipated from November to January.
“Dog parents are reading labels and balancing two priorities: clean ingredients and real-world affordability,” said Aina Kanahele, Director of Business Development at Pets Global. “Zignature Essence and Zignature Inception were updated with that in mind, elevating our high-protein, limited-ingredient philosophy, while making quality nutrition more accessible to more dogs.”
Zignature Essence, formerly known as Essence Pet Foods, is currently the brand’s highest-end product. The three Limited Ingredient Recipes in the dry food line, Ocean, Landfowl, and Ranch, are based on a nutrient-dense, minimalist design. The first seven ingredients make up 95% of the formulation in each recipe, with animal protein sources accounting for up to 91%. Legumes, potatoes, corn, wheat, soy, byproducts, and artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives are not included in the formulae.
Taurine, L-carnitine, vitamins, and minerals are added to the corresponding Essence wet food cans, which offer moisture-rich pates produced with real meat first and up to 96% protein from animal sources for a full and balanced diet.
Formerly known as Inception, the Zignature Inception range has been redesigned to provide nutrition with fewer ingredients at a more affordable price. The first ingredient in the new dry recipes, Pork Meal, Chicken Meal, and Fish Meal, is premium meals that provide concentrated, easily digested protein. While additional taurine and omega-rich salmon oil promote heart, skin, and coat health, whole grains like oats, barley, and milo provide natural fibre and long-lasting energy.
Real meat is the primary ingredient in smooth pâté shapes in Zignature Inception wet food recipes, which combine animal protein with specific grains for flavour, hydration, and full nutrition. All Inception products are free of beans, potatoes, maize, wheat, soy, byproducts and chemical ingredients, much like the Essence line.
