Untamed, a direct-to-consumer subscription cat food company, has raised £10 million in a Series B funding round to accelerate its growth and challenge established petfood brands. The investment was led by Coefficient Capital, with participation from return investors Five Seasons Ventures and Redrice.
The UK-based company delivers high-meat, human-grade meals to 80,000 cats each month. Untamed focuses on an ancestrally inspired, protein-rich diet for cats, aiming to align with their natural carnivorous needs. Founded five years ago by Ben Spicer, Lenny Cordell, and Marco Pacifici, the company has served over 50 million meals since its inception.
The new funding will help Untamed expand its reach and enhance its operations, particularly as the premium petfood market continues to grow. The UK cat food sector is valued at over £2 billion, with a larger opportunity in the EU.
“Untamed is redefining pet care by combining science, passion, and purpose,” says Andrew Goletka, Managing Partner at Coefficient Capital, who joins Untamed’s board as part of the investment.
Untamed has committed to environmental sustainability, achieving B-Corp status in 2024 and pledging 1% of revenue to environmental causes. The company plans to use the new funding to build on its mission of delivering healthier, whole-meat meals to cats across the UK and beyond.
