The 21st edition of Zoomark, the international trade show for petfood and pet care, wrapped up on 7 May, 2025, with significant achievements in attendance, exhibitor numbers, and industry engagement. Held at BolognaFiere, the event attracted 31,000 visitors, with over 64% coming from abroad, marking a strong global presence.
Zoomark 2025 saw a 23% increase in exhibitors, totalling 1,268 companies from 56 countries. The event venue spanned 90,000 square metres, up 32% from 2023, and included 43 startups. The show’s redesign added three additional pavilions to accommodate the growing demand.
The event’s success was driven by a revamped layout and the introduction of three thematic paths: Greenmark, Italian Style, and Tech for Future. These initiatives focused on eco-friendly solutions, Italian design excellence, and technological innovation in the pet industry. Visitors were also drawn to six special areas, including the Pawfect! stage, which featured grooming seminars and live dog massage demonstrations.
The fair showcased diverse products, ranging from sustainable pet accessories made from recycled materials to cutting-edge technological devices like the first smartphone designed for pets. The Aqua Project and Next 5.0 areas highlighted advancements in aquariums, terrariums, and pet-tech innovations.
With more than 80 conferences, seminars, and presentations, Zoomark provided valuable professional development and networking opportunities. Over 130 media representatives covered the event, ensuring widespread exposure for the latest industry trends.
Looking ahead, Zoomark has already secured bookings for the 2027 edition, scheduled for 10-12 May. The event’s growing international recognition has been further solidified through its new membership in the European Pet Organisation (EPO) and plans for expansion in China, Thailand, and Turkey.
