The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is inviting industry experts to submit speaker and session proposals for its 2027 Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference (PISC), scheduled for 16-18 March in Orlando, Florida. The deadline for submissions is 13 November 2026.
Under the theme ‘Resilient by Design,’ the conference will examine emerging trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the animal food industry, including petfood manufacturing, ingredient sourcing and procurement.
Proposed session topics include ingredient markets and economics, supply chain management, logistics, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), procurement strategies, business operations, workforce development, leadership, sustainability and global trade. AFIA is also welcoming proposals addressing other emerging issues affecting the industry.
“PISC brings together some of the brightest minds in the animal food industry, creating an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and tackle the challenges facing our businesses,” said Victoria Broehm, AFIA’s vice president of member experience. She encouraged experts to challenge conventional thinking, share practical experiences and offer actionable solutions to help industry members build resilience.
AFIA is seeking educational, timely and thought-provoking sessions that provide practical takeaways for purchasing professionals, ingredient suppliers and other industry stakeholders. Proposals must demonstrate the speaker’s expertise and relevance to the intended audience. Sessions primarily designed to promote a company, product or service will not be considered.
The association will assess submissions based on relevance, timeliness, content and speaker expertise. Selected speakers will receive notification by 27 November 2026.
Interested professionals can review the guidelines and submit proposals through AFIA’s official call for proposals page. Completed proposals should be emailed to events@afia.org.
