Champ’s Pet Kitchen has expanded its US retail distribution with the launch of its dog treats at 165 Stater Bros Markets locations across Southern California. The launch gives the California-based pet nutrition company access to customers through one of the region’s established grocery retailers.

The move builds on the brand’s retail expansion since its launch in 2025. According to the company, its products are now available in more than 1200 grocery stores nationwide.

Champ’s Pet Kitchen offers soft-chew dog treats made in the USA, with at least 26 percent protein and less than three percent fat. The company says its recipes contain no corn, wheat, soy or meat by-products. Each recipe targets a specific area of canine health, including digestive function, joint mobility, skin and coat condition, heart health or immune support.

The company also highlights its use of a human-style Pet Nutrition Facts panel across its product range. This labelling approach aims to make nutritional information easier for pet owners to understand when comparing products.

“We’re proud to be partnering with Stater Bros., a Southern California company that shares our commitment to quality, value and community,” said Mike Wickman, founder and president of Champ’s Pet Kitchen.

The new retail partnership adds to the brand’s existing grocery distribution through retailers including Safeway, Save Mart, Lucky, Raley’s, Ingles Markets and Lowes Foods. Champ’s also sells its products through other regional retailers across the continental United States and Hawaii.
