Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) has unveiled Patch Pals, its first cookie created specifically for dogs, as part of its 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup. The organisation developed the new product with BARK, a company focused on dog products.
Patch Pals are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavoured dog cookies designed to give pets a way to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie tradition. Each cookie features one of four ‘patch’ designs representing iconic Girl Scout experiences, according to GSUSA.
GSUSA will launch Patch Pals alongside Girl Scout Sparkables, its first allergy-friendly cookie. Developed with Partake®, Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal cookies containing chocolate chips and colourful sprinkles. GSUSA said the product was developed in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens and is intended for families navigating certain food allergies.
Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will be sold exclusively online, with direct shipping beginning 12 January 2027 alongside the national launch of the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season.
The launch follows calls from Girl Scouts to expand the cookie range to reflect the needs of their communities. GSUSA said the new products create additional ways for families and their pets to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
The 2027 cookie season will run nationally from January through April, although dates vary by region. GSUSA said proceeds from cookie sales stay local to support Girl Scout councils and troops, funding activities including outdoor experiences, community service, STEM programmes and leadership development.
