Nutramax Laboratories, leading manufacturer of nutritional supplements for pets and people, announced plans to expand its operations in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The company is investing a total of US$30 million into it and as a result, will be creating 200 new jobs.

With a history dating back 30 years, in 2010 Nutramax conducted a multi-state site search and moved its operations to Lancaster County. Since then, the company has been actively involved in the Lancaster community, including providing support to local schools, churches, law enforcement, fire services, small businesses and local charities.

Nutramax also operates facilities in South Carolina and Maryland, adhering to high standards in research, manufacturing and quality control. In addition to three locations in Lancaster, the new facility will be located at Fort Mill Highway in Indian Land and will house warehousing, distribution and future manufacturing capabilities.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project, in addition to the US$500,000 grant that the council has set aside to assist with costs related to this project.

Nutramax manufacture health supplements for pets including joint health, liver health, GSI health, dental health and more. They cover dogs, cats and horses.
