Royal Canin US, a global leader in breed health nutrition and one of Mars’ billion-dollar brands, has announced the launch of its Corgi Adult and Corgi Puppy diets, developed to meet the specific nutritional requirements of the breed. The introduction marks the company’s first new breed formula in five years and is presented with a creative approach.
“As pioneers of breed-specific nutrition, Royal Canin has always prioritised the individual needs of pets when developing diets, and the launch of our Corgi formula is the latest example of our science-led approach to breed-specific nutrition,” said Kira Best, General Manager, Healthy Pet & Pet Specialty.
Royal Canin maintains that every dog is unique. Drawing on breed-specific research and more than 55 years of scientific expertise, each formula is tailored to address the precise needs of individual breeds. The Royal Canin Corgi Breed Health Nutrition range is formulated to support:
- Bone and joint health – with EPA, DHA and glucosamine, alongside carefully balanced levels of calcium and phosphorus.
- Healthy skin and coat – through a targeted nutrient complex containing EPA and DHA to nourish the Corgi’s double coat.
- Healthy digestion – with highly digestible proteins and a specific fibre blend, including prebiotics.
- Specially designed kibble – shaped to suit the Corgi’s jaw and mouth, helping to moderate eating speed and encourage chewing.
The new Corgi diets join Royal Canin’s portfolio of more than 60 breed-specific formulas for cats and dogs, including those for the German Shepherd, Maine Coon and Golden Retriever.
