Petfood brand Stella & Chewy’s will begin selling more than 80 of its products at PetSmart stores across the USA this May, marking a significant expansion through a new partnership with the national pet retailer. Products will also be available on PetSmart.com, with a Canadian rollout scheduled for June.
The launch includes freeze-dried raw meals, toppers, kibble, and treats. Most PetSmart locations will feature a dedicated Stella & Chewy’s display.
Dave Champlin, chief sales officer at Stella & Chewy’s, said the partnership is a strategic step to reach more households while continuing support for existing retail partners. The brand, traditionally focused on independent pet stores, is broadening its distribution as demand rises for raw and natural petfood.
PetSmart’s vice president of consumables merchandising, Erika Tervelt, said the partnership will help make premium nutrition more accessible to pet owners.
Stella & Chewy’s operates from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, with two manufacturing facilities totalling 215,000 square feet. The company produces raw and freeze-dried meals and treats for dogs and cats.
