Symrise has completed the acquisition of Wing Pet Food, following on from its first announcement of the acquisition on February 23. Wing Pet Food, formerly known as Wing Biotech, established itself in petfood palatability enhancers as well as supplying petfood and petfood protection ingredients.
Wing Pet Food’s portfolio will extend Symrise’s access into the Asia Pacific (APAC) markets, one of the fastest growing regions for petfood applications.
“Joining forces with Wing Pet Food will open tremendous opportunities in the region,” explains Alain Symoens, APAC General Manager for Symrise. “This will enable us to provide pet food manufacturers with a wider range of products to support their product’s positioning. We will also strengthen our footprint in APAC with Wing Pet Food proven sales organization and reliable operational network across China and in adjacent Asian markets.”
The company currently operates with 200 employees and has a state-of-the-art R&D centre in Shanghai, with two production sites located in the Chinese provinces of Jiangxi and Jiangsu.
