GAPFA Partners with Petfood Industry

The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) and Petfood Industry have announced a strategic collaboration in support of the GAPFA Technical Congress 2026, which will take place from June 21–24 in Ottawa, Canada. The event will be hosted by the Pet Food Association of Canada (PFAC).

As the exclusive media partner for the Congress, Petfood Industry will work alongside GAPFA to promote knowledge sharing and industry engagement on scientific, technical and regulatory developments affecting the global petfood sector.

The partnership brings together GAPFA’s international network and Petfood Industry’s coverage of the petfood, animal feed and agrifood sectors, with the aim of expanding access to industry insights and encouraging greater stakeholder participation.

Loretta Hunter, President of GAPFA, said the Congress serves as an important platform for global discussion on issues shaping the future of the petfood industry and welcomed the opportunity to broaden engagement through the collaboration.

Steve Akins, Executive Vice President, Global Pet Food and Events, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting the growth and integrity of the global petfood sector while creating new opportunities for professionals across the value chain to connect and exchange knowledge.

Through the collaboration, the two organisations will work to raise awareness of key issues affecting the petfood industry and support engagement among Congress participants and related initiatives throughout 2026.
