PAYPER Debuts Bottom-Up Filling at Interpack

At the upcoming Interpack trade show (7–13 May, Düsseldorf), PAYPER will present its bottom-up filling system at its stand (Hall 12 – C06), a solution specifically developed to optimise the bagging of fine powdered products.

The technology, previously introduced in specialised technical forums, expands the company’s dosing solutions portfolio and addresses a common challenge in industrial bagging: dust generation and the unstable behaviour of certain products during filling.

Founded in 1973 and headquartered near Barcelona, PAYPER designs and manufactures advanced bagging lines for bulk solids. With more than 5,000 projects completed in over 80 countries, the company has extensive experience across sectors including agri-food, chemicals and animal feed.

Addressing challenges in powdered product bagging

In bagging processes involving very fine particles, air entrapment and dust generation frequently occur during filling. These issues can lead to airborne particle dispersion, increased extraction requirements and potential product loss.

The bottom-up filling method alters conventional filling dynamics by reducing the drop height of the product during dosing. This approach improves process control and minimises dust generation, particularly for materials prone to fluidisation or sensitive to aeration.

A process-oriented solution

This configuration makes the system particularly suitable for applications where controlling product behaviour during filling is essential. It helps reduce dust during bagging and enhances product stability within the bag, contributing to improved working conditions and overall plant cleanliness.

The system also incorporates a new chassis design that simplifies cleaning and maintenance, improving accessibility and operational efficiency. These aspects will be explored further during a pre-show technical webinar on 22 April, with registration available via the company’s website.

Technology, integration and expertise

Alongside this new solution, PAYPER will present its established technological offering at Interpack 2026, built on its expertise in industrial weighing—highlighted by innovations such as the MSX weighing controller—and the digitalisation of bagging lines through its integrated Pulsar solution.
