The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) will host its Technical Congress and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bangkok, Thailand, from 23-25 June, 2025. The event, organised in collaboration with the Petfood Industry Association of Thailand (PIA), will bring together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss key issues facing the global petfood sector.
The congress, themed “Elevating Industry Growth through Commercial Diets, Safety, and Transparency,” will focus on petfood safety, sustainable growth, innovation, and regulatory collaboration. Key topics will include industry growth, biosecurity measures, and safe trade practices. Featured speakers include the GAPFA President and representatives from global petfood companies, international organisations such as the UN World Food Programme, and the Terrestrial Animal Health Commission of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

The event will begin with the Technical Congress on 23 June, followed by GAPFA Workstream Meetings on 24 June. These meetings will cover topics such as nutrition, food safety, trade facilitation, and communications. The AGM on June 25 will discuss GAPFA’s organisational strategies, governance, and future initiatives.
Attendees will also participate in networking events and social activities, including a cultural experience and a formal networking dinner. The meetings will be held at the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, a venue selected for its ideal setting for discussions and collaboration.
The event is by invitation only, with registration available for GAPFA members, sponsors, and invited guests. For more information or to register, attendees can contact the GAPFA Secretariat.
GAPFA, founded in 2014, is a non-profit association that represents petfood manufacturers worldwide, working to promote food safety and nutritional standards for the benefit of pets.
