VIV MEA 2025 Ends with Strong Industry Confidence and Vision

VIV MEA 2025 concluded its fifth edition with remarkable success, reaffirming its status as the leading feed-to-food trade platform for the Middle East and Africa. The show, which took place at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi from November 25–27, 2025, attracted 10,830 professionals and 144 business executives from over 110 nations. The event featured the most recent developments in animal protein production, animal health, feed technology, aquaculture, breeding and hatching, and food engineering, with 505 exhibitors from 49 countries and a completely sold-out floor.

This edition’s emphasis on sustainable agricultural development and food security, powered by a strategic cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), was a major highlight. The head of ADAFSA’s Hay Supply and Storage Section, Eng. Majed Musabah Almemari stressed that VIV MEA allowed for beneficial interaction with international specialists, providing chances to share expertise on animal health, sustainable farming, and food safety. He pointed out that ADAFSA’s involvement strengthened Abu Dhabi’s leadership in cutting-edge agriculture solutions while opening doors for cooperation and innovation.

From poultry, dairy and cattle to fish, prawns, goats and camels, the event provided an extensive demonstration of animal husbandry that reflected the changing landscape of protein production in the area.

Growing International Participation

Additionally, VIV MEA 2025 has a remarkable worldwide presence, with country pavilions adding to the lively exhibition setting. The largest pavilion was held in France, where Anne-Marie Brault of Business France emphasised the nation’s dedication to developing alliances that promote creative and sustainable food production solutions throughout the MENA area.

With more than 30 sessions and 130 speakers, the show’s conference program was robust and provided insights into new trends and technology. This edition expanded the focus on sustainable aquaculture by introducing the first Aquatic Pavilion and the second Aquatic MEA conference. The AgriBITs conference on AI, IoT, and smart systems was another important aspect of digital transformation, while roundtables on food production and poultry management offered more in-depth industry viewpoints.

According to project manager Tessa Remers, this year’s enthusiasm and teamwork strengthened VIV MEA’s position as a centre for innovation and food systems prepared for the future.

Jeroen van Hooff, President & CEO of Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs and VNU Group, commended the area’s dedication to resilient and technologically advanced food production after the event.

The upcoming VIV MEA will be held in ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on November 23–25, 2027.
