October 25, 2024 – Nugape Pet Food, the Spanish petfood manufacturer, will present its brands Danna Pet Food and Cebican Cosmo at the international Pet Fair South East Asia, to be held from October 30 – November 1 in Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the most important events in the sector, which will bring together 400 exhibitors from 45 countries, with an estimated 15,000 professionals from all over the world.
This is the second time this year that the company has attended an industry event on the Asian continent, after its participation in Pet Fair Vietnam last March. The Spanish company is in the midst of an international expansion strategy, focused on increasing its presence in Asia, it already exports to countries such as Bahrain, The United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Jordan, Israel, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon and Qatar.
The aim is to break into the emerging Thai petfood market, which is experiencing an upward trend due to several factors: the humanisation of pets among the younger generations, loneliness among the aging population, urban development and limited space in homes.
Euromonitor International data indicates that in 2022, 37 percent of Thais had dogs or cats in their homes, registering a growth of more than 15 percent in the pet population between 2017 and 2022. In fact, the Thai petfood market accounted for 5.5 percent of the Asia-Pacific petfood market in 2022, experiencing a 63 percent increase between 2017 and 2022.

Nugape Pet Food will be at stand Y23, presenting two of its dry food brands for dogs and cats, from the medium-high and premium ranges. On the one hand, a preview of Cebican Cosmo, the evolution of its classic Cebican, which has been consolidated for years in different countries and which from January 2025 will have a new image and formulations, with a philosophy focused on the needs of urban families; on the other hand, Danna Pet Food, the Spanish firm’s bid to position itself in the premium segment.
These recipes, made with natural ingredients, higher percentages of animal protein and essential elements such as taurine, have been designed by animal nutrition specialists and are the result of Nugape Pet Food’s two decades of experience as a leading manufacturer in the industry.
