Purina has announced Rafael Lopez as its new Chief Executive Officer for Europe, succeeding Jeff Hamilton, who has moved to the role of CEO of Nestlé Americas. Lopez, who has over 30 years of experience within the Nestlé group, previously served as Regional Director for Italy and Southern Europe at Purina.
Lopez’s extensive background in strategic leadership and brand development spans various roles in Purina and Nestlé across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa. His appointment is seen as a key step in Purina’s commitment to sustainable growth and enhancing customer engagement.
As CEO, Lopez will focus on strengthening Purina’s market position amid a changing pet care landscape. He will lead efforts to innovate and improve experiences for pets and their owners while addressing the rising demand for premium products and sustainability.
