The Russian Government has announced that it will be extending the quotas for the export of nitrogen and complex fertilizers. They will be valid from July 1 to December 31, 2022. The resolution on this has been signed.
For nitrogen fertilizers, the quota will be slightly more than 8.3 million tons, for complex ones – a little more than 5.9 million tons.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to distribute the volumes among exporters.
Quotas, as before, will not apply to the supply of fertilizers to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The adopted decision is aimed at preventing a shortage of fertilizers in the domestic market and preventing an increase in food prices.
