Hygienic design for food safety
Constructed from 300 series stainless steel, the Solis dryer provides a food-safe environment throughout the drying process. An open-channel frame, sloped surfaces and a slab floor reduce areas where fines can collect and harbour bacterial growth, which also reduces cleaning downtime.
Innovative fines management
A unique fines management system in the plenums prevents particle collection that could cause airflow problems or create opportunities for bacterial growth. A flat wire mesh belt continuously moves along the plenum, carrying fines to a collection point where they can be removed or reintroduced to the extrusion process.
Energy efficiency throughout
Energy efficiency is central to the Solis design. Direct-drive recirculation fans and energy-efficient drive motors help reduce both energy consumption and maintenance costs. An insulated slab floor, along with fully welded, gasketed and insulated exterior doors and roof panels, ensures excellent heat retention. An optional stainless-steel support structure puts fewer feet on the factory floor, improves accessibility and makes cleaning easier.
