Pet Fair Asia 2026 has officially sold out more than a month ahead of opening, setting a new record with 320,000 square metres of exhibition space and reinforcing its position as Asia’s largest pet industry platform.
Over 2,600 exhibitors from all over the world’s pet industry will be present at the 28th edition, which will take place in Shanghai from August 19–23, 2026. Twenty percent of participants, representing thirty-two countries, will be international exhibitors and Chinese representatives of multinational brands. To give consumers a thorough understanding of the pet industry supply chain, more than 900 exhibitors are anticipated to display ingredients, production machinery, packaging, smart factory solutions, and OEM services.
Online registrations have already surpassed prior records, indicating a substantial increase in interest from foreign visitors. Attendees are anticipated to include importers, distributors, retailers, and brand owners from all over the world, who will use the event as a sourcing platform for product discovery, market research, and business collaborations in China and the larger Asian area.
What to Expect
Pet Fair Asia 2026 will bring various new initiatives to support the industry’s shifting needs. The new VIP B2B Day will be an invitation-only opening-day event for select Chinese importers, distributors, wholesalers, media representatives, and industry influencers. International guests will have full access during the trade days.
EcoPaws Asia, which was created in collaboration with the Pet Sustainability Coalition, will focus on sustainability. The programme will include sustainability-certified exhibitors, a special showcase area, and business matchmaking to connect buyers with responsible suppliers.
The World Premier Selection will also promote innovation, serving as a platform for innovative items making their unique global debut at the exhibition. Selected goods will be acknowledged for technological innovation, design excellence, and industry leadership.
Dedicated halls and themed areas will return for high-growth market segments such as Human-Pet Ideal Home, Pet Fashion Week, Cat’s Wonderland, Genius Hub for Smart Technologies, and Start-up Zone.
The exhibition will also focus on China’s rapidly expanding small and exotic pet sector. According to the Asia Pet Alliance Institute, the country’s small animal, reptile, and aquatic pet market is worth RMB 11 billion, or nearly US$1.61 billion. A full exhibition hall will feature over 350 brands selling food, supplements, veterinary treatments, habitats, and accessories for birds, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, and ornamental fish.
Along with the show, the event schedule will include the 15th International Pet Industry Summit – Asian CEO Summit, the PET FAIR SUPPLY Conference, the Asia Pet Health and Food Summit, and the Go Global Forum. These courses will focus on market trends, sustainability, nutrition, supply chain transformation, and international expansion.
